A short walk west brings you to the joining of the main canal
systems in the UK with more canals than Venice. During the
Industrial Revolution goods were carried to London and the north of
England from here by water. Now tastefully revitalised as a
huge living area and Entertainments complex on waterside.
   
  
We found a great Thai restaurant for lunch and posed for pictures on
one of the many bridges.
  
Founding fathers are remembered and one of the many Shopping Arcades
we walked through.
   
On another wet cold day we looked into the New Bull Ring and the
Markets area.
